Choosing a hairstyle, going to the barber, telling him what you want, checking his work, and making small changes can be a hassle. Not everyone wants to spend time and money on a fancy hairstyle.
Then there’s the trouble of keeping up with it.
Wouldn’t it be easier if we could cut our own hair and still look good? Isn’t that what we learned during the lockdown and pandemic?
So, we came up with some simple but stylish hairstyles that men can do themselves. Even if you go to the barber, these hairstyles are easy to maintain and don’t take much time or effort.
The Dark Fade Crew Cut
Just use a trimmer to cut the sides and back short, and leave the hair on top longer. Wash and oil your hair like usual, and you’re all set.
Shaggy Curls
This hairstyle is great if you have long, curly hair. Just let your hair grow and make sure it stays untangled. Remember to shampoo and massage your hair once a week. That’s all the upkeep it requires.
Man Bun
If you’ve grown to like your long lockdown hair, you might want to think about trying a man bun. There are plenty of styles to pick from.
To keep it looking good, just give your hair a simple oil massage and wash it regularly with shampoo. And don’t forget to comb it often to keep it from getting tangled.
Slick-Back Hair
If you like having long hair, you might want to try the slick-back style. Just wet your hair and comb it straight back. It works well if your hair isn’t too long yet, stopping above your ears.
You’ll need some hair wax to style it, and you’ll probably need to apply it almost every day. But other than that, maintenance is pretty easy. Just make sure to visit your barber every 3-4 months to keep it looking neat when it starts to get messy.
A Regular Buzz Cut
If you want to keep some hair but keep it short, why not try a simple buzz cut? If you have a trimmer, you can do it yourself at home.
Maintenance is easy too. Just oil your hair once a week and you’re good to go.
Clean Shaven
First and foremost, there’s the option of being clean-shaven or going completely bald. You can easily do this at home.
Maintenance is simple too. Just shave your head every two or three weeks and oil it every two or three days. That’s all there is to it.
