There’s a bit more to washing your hair than just rinsing, lathering, and repeating. Make sure you avoid these mistakes when washing your hair:

Overwashing Your Hair

Men with very oily hair often make this mistake. They think washing their hair every day will get rid of the oil, dirt, and make their hair smell fresh. But washing your hair too often can actually damage it in the long run and make it dry.

It’s not a good idea to wash your hair every day. You should only wash it when it looks or feels dirty and oily.

Using Hot Water

Washing your hair with very hot water might feel nice, but it’s not good for your hair. It removes the natural oils from your scalp, making it dry and itchy.

Try to wash your hair with lukewarm or cold water instead.

Skipping On Conditioner

Once you shampoo your hair, it’s important to use conditioner. Especially for men with medium to long hair, conditioner is essential for keeping your hair healthy and moisturized.

Conditioner helps your hair stay healthy and easier to manage.

Brushing Wet Hair

Washing your hair is just the start. How you take care of it after washing matters too. Many men make the mistake of brushing their hair when it’s still very wet, which can cause it to break and fall out.

Because wet hair is delicate, it’s better to let it dry a bit before you start combing it.
